Cervantes Family Covid-19 Funeral Expenses

On Saturday December 26, 2020 at 9:15 AM., we lost our beloved father, Meliton Cervantes as a result of complications due to COVID-19. He leaves behind three children and his amazing wife of 29 years. He passed away at the age of 51, he was an amazing husband, father, friend and brother in Christ. Our father was an amazing dad who worked countless hours, to provide us with a roof over our shoulders. He was a God fearing family man that cared more about others than himself. All who knew him knew about his kindness, love for God, his family and life’s simple pleasures. His love for everyone in his life and his selflessness was an example and model for all who knew him.
His battle first began on December 1st, 2020 when he began to show Covid like symptoms. He was later diagnosed with Covid-19 on December 7th, 2020 and was later admitted to Chino Valley Medical Hospital on December 11th, 2020 with shortness of breath. He spent 15 days in critical condition in the ICU unit connected to a ventilator fighting for his life. All while our entire household was quarantine as we had all tested positive but with God’s help we fought it and emerged victorious. Everyday we received updates from the hospital with hopes that things would get better however he kept running into complications, as this virus was taking a huge toll on his body & lungs. As a result of Covid-19 restrictions we were unable to visit our father at the hospital during his stay or say our final goodbyes in person. On the morning of December 26, 2020 we received the terrible call that no family wants to receive, that my father had passed away at 9:15 AM from Covid-19. He fought till the last minute but unfortunately he did not make it.
We are comforted in knowing that our dad Meliton Cervantes, is resting in peace in the loving arms of our Father Jesus Christ. During these difficult times we want to thank everyone for their continuous prayers over our family. He was so loved and will forever be missed.
