FONTANA, Calif. (KABC) -- A Yucaipa woman was arrested at home last week for allegedly assaulting two year-old twins at a Rialto home she worked at as a nanny for several children.

The San Bernardino Sheriff's Fontana station received a report of suspected child abuse on October 2 at a residence in Rosena Ranch in unincorporated Rialto. The family called to report that they thought their nanny may have assaulted two of their children.

Yucaipa resident Dana Cash, 34, was employed at the residence to care for several children there. Investigating deputies discovered Cash physically assaulted two twins, a boy and a girl, according to the sheriff's department.

Cash was contacted at her residence in Yucaipa and was arrested for child cruelty. She was booked into the West Valley Detention Center.

"Detectives don't want to be specific about the injuries to the children or the investigative leads that they have at this time," said Cindy Bachman, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. "Now that Cash is out of custody, she'll have an arraignment that will probably be about 30 days out, so they would like to not release too much information at this time."

Because Cash was released on bail, authorities want the public to be aware of the allegations.

"She could go and get a job tomorrow, and we definitely don't want the same type of behavior, activity to occur again to some other young victim," said Bachman.

Authorities are concerned there may be other victims. Anyone with additional information regarding this case can contact Detective Shannon Laub or Sergeant Mark Martinez at the Fontana Station at (909)356-6767.
