ENCINO, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An 8-inch water main ruptured on a road that connects with the 101 Freeway in Encino Friday morning, flooding about four blocks.
The water main break occurred on Haskell Avenue, north of Ventura Boulevard, around 2:30 a.m. About 100 customers were affected.
The pavement appeared to be damaged. The gas company was also on scene to investigate due to concern about high-pressured gas lines under the road.
Haskell Avenue was closed in both directions as crews worked on repairs. The cause of the water-main break is unknown at this time.
