Mother suspected of abducting 3-year-old son from Arcadia mall

ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC) -- A mother who has a mental illness is suspected of abducting her 3-year-old son from the Westfield Santa Anita mall in Arcadia Saturday night.

Levi Barrios was with his aunt who was shopping at the mall when he was taken by his birth mother, Melissa Barrios, around 8:30 p.m. The pair were last seen in the parking lot of the mall and may be heading toward Rosemead either by bus or on foot.

Levi is described as 3 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing gray shorts, sandals and a black T-shirt with the word "Epic" on the front.

His mother is 25-years-old, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, blue jeans and black Nike shoes.
