A pit maneuver failed to stop a narcotics suspect leading police on a chase from downtown Los Angeles to Downey on Tuesday. The suspect eventually pulled into the driveway of a home at the end of a cul de sac in Downey and refused to get out of the vehicle, prompting a standoff with officers.
