$7.5 million in marijuana seized in Compton drug bust

COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Narcotics investigators seized $7.5 million in marijuana during a bust in unincorporated Compton.

Sheriff's deputies with the Narcotics Bureau received a tip Wednesday morning and served a search warrant at a warehouse in the 2900 block of Ana Street.

Officials found a large sophisticated marijuana growing operation inside. They seized 4,199 plants as well as 200 pounds of finished marijuana product.

Twelve people were arrested and booked at the Century Regional Detention Center. They are being held on $50,000 bail.
