Dozens of surfers in Huntington Beach are attempting to break two world records: the world's longest surfboard and the number of riders on the board.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Dozens of surfers in Huntington Beach are attempting to break two world records: the world's longest surfboard and the number of riders on the board.

About 65 people will be getting on the 42-foot long, 1,350-pound surfboard and attempt to ride it for at least 10 seconds.

There will be a chili cook-off and salsa festival the rest of the day to celebrate.
