Homicide investigation underway after man found dead inside van in Norwalk

NORWALK, Calif. (KABC) -- A homicide investigation was underway after a man was found dead inside of a white van in Norwalk Tuesday afternoon.

A local resident found a man unresponsive in the white van around 3:50 p.m. in the 13900 block of Flatbush Avenue. The resident called 911 and Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies from the Norwalk Station arrived at the scene.

Deputies determined the man suffered trauma to his upper torso, but said the cause of death was unknown.

The investigation was ongoing.
