SAN DIMAS, Calif. (KABC) -- A $20,000 reward is being offered to find the alleged robbery suspect who fatally shot a Quiznos owner in San Dimas earlier this month.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies released a composite sketch of the suspect Wednesday, hoping to bring Pravin Patel's family justice.

Patel, 63, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso area outside the restaurant at 1034 West Arrow Highway on June 2.

Pravin Patel, a Quiznos store owner, died after being shot during a confrontation with a robbery suspect in San Dimas on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.

Witnesses told deputies an alleged robbery suspect entered Quiznos and brandished a semi-automatic handgun, demanding money from Patel. He handed the suspect a bag of money, and then he followed and confronted the suspect outside the business.

After a brief struggle, Patel was shot. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man, age 25 to 30, about 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black cap, black shirt and dark short pants with a plaid pattern.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information was urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
