'Dancing With The Stars' week 5 partner switch-up
The stars switched partners during week 5 on 'Dancing With the Stars,' performing their routines with pros chosen for them by viewers who voted on Twitter.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The stars switched partners on week 5 of "Dancing With The Stars." The celebrities must feel a little like they're cheating on their significant others. They had to spend the week learning to get their grooves on with a different professional dancer. If any of the partnerships don't work, well, it's our fault dance fans; Twitter votes from viewers chose the pairings. So which new couple figured out how to handle the switch up? And who stumbled? The one good thing: No elimination!

Here's a recap of the week 5 performances, from highest to lowest score:

SADIE ROBERTSON & DEREK HOUGH - 36 out of 40

Sadie Robertson is just stealing our hearts. She's downright adorable. While some may have never watched "Duck Dynasty," it doesn't matter. The reality star deserves to be on the dance floor. Derek Hough heads down to the family compound in Louisiana and enjoys some fun on the farm -- and plenty of rehearsal time! Sadie channels a gorgeous flapper for their Charleston and, as Carrie Ann Inaba said, it was close to perfection. Julianne Hough likes that Sadie shows us a different side each week. Bruno Tonioli said the routine was spot on, and guest judge Jessie J said it was hard to tell who was the pro and who was the amateur.

LEA THOMPSON & VAL CHMERKOVSKIY - 34 out of 40

Lea Thompson has got a lot of acting under her belt so choosing the Broadway card in the dance lottery is a win/win for her. Add Val Chmerkovskiy into the mix and you figure this will be something fun. Tom Bergeron calls the routine "Mama's Family: The Musical," because the concept is sexy nurse at the home for retired dancers. Carrie Ann called it "wackadoodle," but said she loved it. Bruno said the dance was insanely fun, and Jessie J thought Lea perfectly melded acting and dancing with a character.

ALFONSO RIBEIRO & CHERYL BURKE - 34 out of 40

Alfonso Ribeiro is on fire! Cheryl Burke wants to make a man out of him with the Flamenco and lets us know she wants a testosterone-filled routine. Alfonso quickly learns that Cheryl is very different from sweet, young Witney Carson, because Cheryl swears like a sailor. Their routine is hot, hot, hot. Jessie J said she didn't want it to end! Julianne told them this was the first partnership of the night that she truly believed, and thought their chemistry was scorching.

JANEL PARRISH & ARTEM CHIGVINTSEV - 33 out of 40

Janel Parrish and Artem Chigvintsev bring the sexy to the ballroom with a Burlesque number. From the beginning of rehearsals, when Artem explains what it's all about, Janel says, "Sorry Daddy!" They have the added pressure of dancing to one of Jessie J's songs. Julianne and Carrie Ann agreed that there wasn't enough Burlesque "cheekiness" and too much raw sex appeal. Of course, Bruno loved it!

BETHANY MOTA & MARK BALLAS - 32 out of 40

Fans had BFFs Mark Ballas and Derek Hough swap partners, knowing there would be an extra amount of fun-natured ribbing between the couples. Bethany Mota was assigned Hip Hop. Mark told her she needs to bring her swag for this routine. She was confident enough to tell us she didn't know what swag was. Adorable. They play up the rivalry thing, spending a lot of face time catching up with their "real" partners. Bruno told Bethany she's blossoming week to week, while Carrie Ann was surprised by her "looseness" in this style. Jessie J told Bethany she was expecting a shy little thing and instead saw her attack the dance.

ANTONIO SABATO JR & ALLISON HOLKER - 28 out of 40

Poor Antonio Sabato Jr. gets one of the toughest dances there is: Bollywood! Luckily for him, Allison Holker is GREAT at it. She tells him he needs energy, stamina and technique to pull this off. Oh is that all? They look fantastic in their costumes, the song is great, but he gets a little lost in the choreography. Julianne complimented his heart and passion, but pointed out the disconnect with his partner; Bruno concurred. Carrie Ann thought Alli brought out the best in Antonio, and Jessie J told him she could tell how much he wants to succeed.

JONATHAN BENNETT & PETA MURGATROYD - 24 out of 40

Jonathan Bennett has his work cut out for him. He was the lowest scoring dancer last week, and really needs to boost that score. Peta Murgatroyd knows it too, and really pushes him this week with intense rehearsals to learn the very fast Jitterbug. They're all smiles when they "Rock This Town" to Joey Fatone's vocals. But the whole routine feels unsteady. Jessie J said it best: She likened it to being on a roller coaster, and you're nervous because you know something nerve-wracking is coming up. Julianne said she was holding her breath during the dance, but not in a good way.

TOMMY CHONG & EMMA SLATER - 23 out of 40

Tommy Chong goes into the week feeling apprehensive about the switch; he's obviously found a comfort level with Peta, and now he's back to square one partner-wise. Emma Slater quickly realizes you need to teach things differently to Tommy, so she goes to Peta for advice. Peta counsels her to "drill him." They are doing a Mambo to the Reggae classic, "Pass the Dutchie," and the music doesn't quite work. Carrie Ann called the routine lackluster. Jessie J called the dance "relaxed," which may be a nicer way of saying lackluster. Julianne told Tommy he seemed tired (to which, Tommy later said "I'm old!").

MICHAEL WALTRIP & WITNEY CARSON - 20 out of 40

Michael Waltrip was around for the Disco era, while Witney Carson would have only heard about it on YouTube. They pull out every Disco move in the book, but it looks a bit like an amateur talent show. The judges hit home with the fact that it's week 5 and they expect more than just fun and laughs. Bruno thought none of the movements were on time, but Carrie Ann countered that a couple of the moves were on time. Is that good? Jessie J called it consistent, not amazing and not terrible.

The judges' scores from week 5 will be added to viewer votes and next week's scores. Next Monday, we'll see another ballroom elimination when the nine remaining couples return to their original pairing and Pitbull sits in at the judges' table.
